Volunteer in Guatemala - Service Learning in Guatemala - Guatemalan Rain forest School Project
From the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal, the volcanoes of the Guatemalan
highlands, to the colonial city of Antigua, Guatemala has something for
everyone. Wander the beautiful mountain town of Chichicastenango,
famous for its vibrant and lively market. Visit the lovely Lake
Atitlán, guarded by looming volcanoes. Or delve into an archaeological preserve deep in the jungle of the
Petén region while seeing diverse wildlife, including howler monkeys and
toucans.
Have a month or more to spend in the jungles of Guatemala? Go as a
volunteer in an environmentally sustainable project, as a Spanish
student, or as an adventurer -or all three! Here is an opportunity to
work for a NPO which focuses on English, environmental education,
reforestation, forest management, medicinal plants, small animal
husbandry, and organic agriculture.
